years ago there was a ticket exchange on this site.
bought tickets to the 2004 oregon state / lsu game that I found through the site. that was the game with the LONG rain delay that lsu won in overtime because the oregon state kicker missed the extra point.

I remember sitting in class at LSU and watching guys sitting in front of me always on it on their laptop (this was early 2000’s) so one day I decided to check it out and I’ve been hooked since then.

Bought out the Dawgvent. It was better...lot less touchy feely. Had to have some hard hide to post on the Dawgvent.

Dec 6, 2003.
Everyone knew if Hawaii lost the game to Boise State at like 1am, LSU would overtake USC and be in the national championship game.
After the high from beating GA earlier in the day I was looking for someone..ANYONE online who was talking about the game and update the score since i didn't have access to the game back in those dark ages of the internet.
Found TD and for a while was content to just watch the idiots post shite then one day i joined the idiots.

There was a link to a post here in the comments on a sports story in the Atlanta Journal / Constitution back during the “As The Plains Burn” era. Been hooked on this site ever since, and introduced several other people to it.

I stumbled upon Tiger Droppings while searching online for “New Iberia Haircut.”
I was trying to explain the NIH to a chick (no pics) at work and told her to Google it. Tiger Droppings came up for her too

Think I googled "best fraternities at LSU" the summer before my freshman year and a TD thread popped up.

Friend,
This is the 20th anniversary of an essay I wrote regarding why LSU was the only national champion in 2003. The essay initially began as an apology for why LSU was more deserving than USC to earn a spot in the national championship game, which I began forming in November of that year. The essay made its rounds on all the message boards nationally as well as chain emails to AP writers. A friend on the ESPN message board recommended I post it on TD, which I did for the first time in 2003.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

Back when the Scott Rogers scandal was going on i was bored at work and googled it. There was a TD thread where this guy wrote in and said he was brought to the US by this guy as a kid, basically trafficked. But then it sort of seemed like he was defending the abuser. It was a fascinating inside perspective on a local gossip issue and I was hooked, due to similar perspectives on local issues.

IIRC, he kept missing extra points that night.
One of my coworkers and her husband were Oregon State fans. I remember them telling me later that the kicker was like an all conference or all American who was pretty automatic but that he had a shite game that night and couldn’t kick anything.

A reference to ATPB on another board looked interesting.
Thanks a lot, a-holes.

I was pissed off at Roger Goodell (can’t recall which time it was) and googled various epithets attached to his name. A thread from this site popped up in the search results. Felt good to let off steam by reading. Started visiting occasionally to find out the skinny about state matters, then noticed the various boards. Began collecting travel and food tips from those boards, as well as product recommendations. Joined because I was planning a trip, and wanted current information about our destination.
