I'm a West Virginia native and life long fan of small school Marshall University Thundering Herd. And for the record, I'm not a fan of WVU in anything. Someone posted a TD link on one of our message boards probably 12 years ago or so of an all out brawl in the stands at an SEC game. Don't remember which game at this point. But after navigating to this site I quickly fell in love with all it's content and the southern Louisiana culture and lifestyle. I don't have any social media accounts other than a YouTube channel so I get my daily fix from here. I've read TD nearly every day, multiple times a day since then. I finally decided to register last year and glad I did. I've even become a fan of LSU athletics as my second favorite school.

For me, it was purely a google search for a college football board. I had never heard of TD or did I know anyone using it.
Started on the Rant. Stayed there for a while then started using More Sports then OT

Tomorrow will be the 12th anniversary of my joining TD. I can barely remember where I parked my car less than an hour ago. There is no freaking way I can remember any details about how I ran across TD for the first time.

Good question. Looks like he stopped updating it in 2019, but SB Nation kept the site archives up. He wrote a really long farewell that I just skimmed; said he'd be doing other stuff but nothing specific.

I was working as an intern for a government job years ago and one of the Ops guys that I was working closely with/shadowing told me about TD and convinced me to create an account.
I grew annoyed with the site and stopped coming here but found my way back a few years ago. Had to create a new handle after bc I couldn’t get into that old one.

It was a few weeks before the Cotton Bowl loss to Texas in Jan 2003. I was tired of talking with the same 15-ish LSU fans in a Yahoo chat room. I somehow stumbled upon this site, and the rest is history. I've wasted countless hours here since late 2002.

I did a google search on some dudes cheating in a bass fishing tournament around Morgan City, La and a thread on the outdoor board came up on the google search.
