This is why i'm pro-smoker even though i don't smoke, that's just an example.. When govt. starts taxing, passing laws etc. for social good it sets a precedent. Sooner or later they come for something that is important to me.

He probably only had to convince a couple thousand tops. Most people didn't know it was happening until late in the war. Doesn't excuse them, though.

shite, this was Saturday matinee fair for Jerries in 1940. The frickers knew damn well. The men in Reserve Police Battalion 101 spent their 8-5 shooting and bayoneting women, kids, the elderly, etc., and then went home and ate supper with their own women and kids, like you'd go home after a shift at the plant.
What's more, a good many of them would still do it if given a chance.
