My wife and I are fortunate to make a pretty good living but we aren't above shopping at Walmart and never will be. It's saves us several thousand dollars a year.
We live in a fairly inexpensive house based on our income and drive modest vehicles. I've never felt much of a need to keep up with the Joneses.

The closest Walmart to me is 70 miles away in Fort Stockton, TX and it is not a supercenter. I think the last time I was in there was to buy 22 ammo. I used to go about once a month to stock up on paper goods, but now I just order from Amazon. I pay more for groceries at the local store and if need something then it is Dollar General. We dont have much of a choice out here where I live but there is nothing wrong with going to Walmart.

I didn’t know any place in the country was 70 miles from a Walmart.

I definitely wouldn't drive 140 miles to go to Walmart

I have one question. At the beginning of this thread people were talking about going/not going to Wal Marks. I've never been to a Wal Mark. Are Wal Marks prices cheaper than Wal Mart?

I go to Wal-Mart maybe 5 times a year. It's not that I am too good for Wal-Mart. In fact I would fit in perfectly on the people of Wal-Mart site.
It's just that I am anti-social and a dominant man with a submissive wife. She does our shopping. I don't leave the house outside work unless I am going to buy myself a new toy or some shite.

Walmart has done more for poor people than the government has over the past 50 years.
Like encouraging their employees to sign up for government services since they kept their hours below full-time status to avoid paying benefits?

The OT Ballers are too smart and rich to shop at WalMart
OT "ballers" that say their local Walmart is trashy have some explaining to do.

If the battery in my remote garage door opener goes out I am going to Walmart that day if not immediately. I am not ordering from Amazon and waiting a week
Who the frick would order a battery for something like a garage opener off amazon and just wait for it?

Presidio is 150 miles from the Fort Stockton Walmart. Out here in Southwest Texas there is nothing close. People drive the 85 miles from Presidio to shop in Alpine. Regional Map

Yeah man not everyone is successful or fortunate enough to live near neighborhood Walmart

I hate Walmart! Before the 2016 flood, I hadn't been in a Walmart in 5 years. I had to go to Walmart after the flood due to obvious reasons. Since 2017, I can probably count my Walmart trips on 2 hands. I don't see how anyone can say we are dependent upon Walmart. There are too many other options.
