Kroger and Albertsons...I don’t know how they stay in business. Albertsons especially
I go to Albertsons occasionally around here but not for more than a few things. They have an awesome booze selection. The one by me stays pretty crowded.
I did pay $11.99 for a lb of coffee there a few weeks ago. The exact product costs $7.99 at Walmart.

I get shite from Walmart maybe twice a month or so.
Why do some of you frickers have such a weird hard on for Walmart?
I mean it's just Walmart.
I've got some great marked down shite from there over the years.
Every motherfricker in the SEC footprint is removed by one generation or less from cajun, hillbilly or redneck white trash. Walmart is your fricking milieu.
Now get your frickin' asses to Walmart, where you belong. You trashy beer out of a can drinking, frickin' bastards.

I buy stuff at Fred's. We have no Walmart, it went out of business 5 years ago.
That is where most Fred Meyers are - in Alaska. I didn't even know they had them in the 48 states.
Walmart without it's great distribution system is not WalMart. I'm surprised they even gave Alaska a shot. Whoever came up with that probably works for Fred Meyer now.

Do you really think it’s that hard to avoid Wal Mart?

There are still a few walmarts in State, just not in Juneau.

You may be, but ‘WE” aren’t dependent on them at all. I haven’t darkened their doors in many years now. I live perfectly amazing without them.

Kroger and Albertsons...I don’t know how they stay in business. Albertsons especially. You go to stores other than Walmart and you know you’re going to pay a little more...walking into an Albertsons is almost comical. Everything in the store is 60% more expensive than Walmart. You have to be a complete idiot to go in there for more than one or two things and even then you could probably get it cheaper at a convenience store.
But I do not understand how Albertson's stays open. Their prices are sky-high -- a country gal I went out with called Albertson's "The rich people's store"
They must appeal to the (are you ready?) Target demo (thank you).
Same thing w/Winn Dixie. I've known W-D loyalists but have never understood it. Their prices are often as high as Albertson's and their selection isn't as good. People say "But their meat department...". frick that shite. The rest of the store isn't worth it. Plenty of other places to buy meat.

Wal-Mart has done more to raise the standard of living for the average American than just about any other person, country, or business to ever exist.
Walmart was the instrument through which cheap Chinese manufacturing subsidized the consistently diminishing buying power of the average American working person that's been going on since the early 1980s.
My conservative blue-collar father would have kicked my arse all the way back to a Walmart in 1980 if I came home with a $29.97 Chinese drill instead of a $100 American made one from the local hardware store because the buying power of his paycheck back then allowed it.

Staggering how much power that company yields.
not for long, they are the only stores using draconian measures and treating people like cattle
people everywhere are discovering all the other stores and better prices without the attitudes and disrespectful workers
when this is all done i think a good 30% of their old customers wont be coming back

I go to either Walmart or Kroger depending on which way I take to go home.
I'm surprised Walmart can stay in business with the amount of people that always claim they never go to Walmart. It's just a store with better pricing than most places.
As for the OP, you can get all the same stuff from other stores that you get from Walmart.
