I did it. It was quite easy, I hated the thing. Wife wouldnt shut up about wanting a dog so I finally relented and we got a puppy. Shortly after we got it, she got pregnant. Dog was biting my two young boys. I wasnt going to have a dog trying to bite a newborn, and she ended up hating having a dog (like I knew she would), so we gave it away. Simple.

Sounds like mine. Wouldn't stop with wanting to get a puppy for the house. Did not want. Who takes care of the damn thing now? Yea, I'd like to find it somewhere else to go. And I love dogs btw, but I never wanted a small inside dog.

Sometimes, the dog abandons the owner.

Last year, after my dad retired, my parents built a house down the road from my uncle. My uncle's dog (9 years old) decided he liked my folks better and moved in. My uncle just called him a traitor, then bought another dog.

I had a dog for two years. Lived alone in an apartment and started working shift work at the time and would be gone for up to 13-14 hours. The dog was miserable and started getting destructive. Found it a good home with a lady that had three other dogs and a big yard. I'm sure the dog was a lot happier.

Im actually a great husband, a great father. I just pretty much hate animals. My wife admitted pretty much instantly that getting a pet was a terrible idea. We both will likely never have pets again.

Yeah, my dog would dictate where I live. He's treated like a member of the family, now and forever.

Giving him up is just not an option. Period.

To some people, a dog is just a dog.

You sound like a shitty dog owner. And probably a terrible dad considering you're lazy.

I dont see anything wrong with not wanting to have a pet. Not like Im going down the road with a shotgun killing all the animals i come across

I was absolutely a shitty dog owner. My wife and I both are not dog people and never should have gotten one in the first place.

Me either.

Hating all animals is a lot different than just not wanting a pet
