Yup, the normal macro beer drinker doesn't really notice these as big breweries have contracts and hop producers fill them first.

I deal with beer shortages all the time

It turns out humans like to consume drugs, so we'll ferment koolaid in a jail toilet or smoke drain cleaner if we have to. You give me access to something that can be fermented, and I'll get you drunk. No apocalypse can stop that.

As mentioned, there have been hop shortages as well as aluminum can shortages.
