How can folks afford to live their lives today?

With rampant inflation, including fuel, how are people making it? I’m old, but I can’t imagine being a young family with children, working two jobs and only going deeper and deeper into debt. Something has to change.

I'm single with no kids and a doctor. I am working 2 jobs and making OT Balla money. Should have my student loan paid off by the end of next year and I saving my money so I can afford kids and a wife later. I do not know how the poors of the OT do it.

It honestly sucks. Wife and I make $140k together and live in a low COL state. We don't have an extravagant house and drive average cars and it still feels like we can't really get ahead. We are blessed with what we have and I feel bad for others who are less fortunate than we are, it's just shitty all around.

If I could get one of these poor souls to roll down the window to their $50,000 SUV, I would ask them how they afford to live. But it seems they are too busy following the directions their $1000 cell phone is giving them to tonight’s restaurant of choice.

We're making cuts. My student loan is a driver. Is what it was. I had two kids since Covid.
DirecTV is going out the window.

Stop eating out- planning more meals.

The world has been dumping the dollar. Its only going to get a lot worse. Using Swift as a weapon never should have happened. Now the petro dollar must be replaced because the system cant be trusted. Short term thinking always bites you in the arse in the long run.
