Go on tinder. Swipe right on everyone, even the uglies. Meet one, go on a date with her be really nice until she brings you around her friends. Get in with her friends then dump her and steal her friends

That is sort of true, BR kind of is what it is. There are people out there in your situation as well though. You just have to put yourself out there.

Example: If you like soccer, go to the Londoner on Saturday mornings to watch the games. You will get to know the other soccer people in BR in no time.

Why did I read this like it was written from some foreign exchange student who hasn’t come to America yet?

another good call if you're into politics. Volunteer for the local GOP/Dem party & you will meet like minded people. Or whatever you're passionate about or into.

How can a college grad make new friends in this town? by Cool Brigade
Im getting bored sitting at home or going to walgreens. I need to make some more friends, and maybe meet some girls through them. How can I meet people here? My job sucks and no one does anything. Im open to new hobbies. I would also like to meet people who go to Bulldog, ivars, or places like that.
i would like to meet people who went to private school but friendly people from rural parishes also.

You never said what town. I assume Baton Rouge. And the answer is move somewhere else.

BR, Central LA, and Southern LA? Friendliest people.

Imo, the people from North Louisiana TEND to be more clique-ish.

You want to see cliquey? Come to Jackson. People here are cold.

thats fair, i do think BR is somewhat cliquy though. The people who grew up in BR and still live there after college tend to have the same friends they've had for years & BR is a place that isnt necessarily the most open community for people who didnt go to LSU or grow up there. Of course the other places i've lived are Austin and NOLA so maybe my perspective is skewed.

Maybe just ask your mom on a date...she's probably your type. Or maybe your dad is...

Hang up your troll hat, this shite is worse today than it was yesterday.

Take up golf. Play a bunch. You will make friends.
Join a church. You will make friends.
Volunteer at various charitable organizations. You will make friends.
Take some classes at LSU. You will make friends.

Hanging out at bars desperately trying to make friends is a bad idea baw.
