Everyone in my office is here today, corporate hasnt told our office to stay at home so we are all here. We dont have the ability to work remote at this time so here we are.

I sell booze, and it's nuts right now. People were waiting outside the door for this store to open at 8 AM. Stocking up on food and TP, but all of them buy wine too.

Fortunately I have a large supply of wine.

I'm working with one of my largest clients to book work in April in the case that we aren't able to get on site for government projects (which is highly likely).

Absolutely nothing going on. I’m ready to “work from home” but my boss won’t make that call until it’s a state mandate

I got sent home as soon as I got in this morning. I was told by my boss that corporate will be forcing 50% of employees to work from home starting tomorrow and increase if necessary as this plays out. Luckily everything I work on is on the cloud so my boss said forget the 50% and just work from home until I tell you not to. Kind of a surreal feeling. I've gotten 1 email today so far fwiw

I think my infrastructure folks moved some servers from non-essential jobs into the Citrix farm to facilitate more remote connections on Friday. That's about all we had to do. They also stress tested the VPN in a bubble over the weekend I think too.

Corporate ITSec decided it was a good opportunity to change VPN solutions. We also had a few employees with desktops so I'm getting them set up on lappys

We are about to stress test MS Teams and Zoom, two apps we have had for a long time but saw relative low usage

Not busy, but most of my company works in Pacific and Mountain Time so things will pick up in a bit.

If you are a MS development shop MS Teams is instrumental to success....it becomes less useful if you are just using it for general team collaboration. I think most of our folks use Webex Teams at this point.

I hate Webex FWIW.....I think Zoom is better than Webex to facilitate online meetings and video conferences, BUT ATT has a lot of companies by the short hairs when it comes to replacing Webex.

I've been working from home for about 11-12yrs, so nothing new there.

That said, the VPN is down this morning, no emails on my phone, and the garbage man just passed.

Guess I'll go retrieve my garbage can.
