I have a very special pair of shoes that I want to protect while I'm working. I'm going to go with the heel protector taps for the heel but have no idea how to protect the leather from wearing so fast on the sole. What do you guys use for this?

Don't walk in them

The bottom of the shoe is going to wear away. It's kinda the point of shoes...

Why not just put them in a shadow box and look at them instead?

if they are decent shoe the manufacturer will offer recrafting. Just wear the shoes and have them recrafted down the road.

Yup!

I've had some shoes resoled and they came out great.

Hell, I just resoled some Sperry Topsiders because they were so perfectly broken in. The soles were absolutely gone though. Got new soles and new insoles. Better than new.

Nothing because the bottoms are supposed to wear. What kind of nonsense question is this?

Shoes are to protect your feet Baw, no need to protect the shoe.
