How bad is Houston - I-10 traffic from Energy Corridor to San Felipe, TX?

For the Houston crew. How bad of a commute would the Energy Corridor to San Felipe, TX be? I assume it would be against the grain of traffic but still pretty bad?

I lived in Houston for 15 years and had no idea San Felipe, TX existed until this thread.
It depends a little on where in the energy corridor. The closer you get to BW8, the more likely you are to hit some traffic during rush hour on the way back in the evenings.

That’s what i am guessing. Good maps says 33 minutes without traffic. But i didn’t know how bad the traffic on this road is.

I assumed he meant Galleria area until I kept reading down the thread. The first comment about it being against traffic I was like LOL

It will only get bad as you get close to the energy corridor.
There’s a lot of growth West. So that’s how it is today but the traffic will continue to grow West with everything else.
I remember when you would have no traffic until you hit hwy 6 (that’s right at the corridor). Now it starts around Masson in Katy.
If your a cyclist you can live in Katy and ride a bike to the offices with no traffic and no exposure to cars. There’s paved trails all the way to the corridor.

I live in Denver so my quality of life is great right now. But Houston is too cheap to potentially pass up.

As long as there isn’t major construction going on at some off peak time, I always found Houston traffic to flow fairly well.
At least it doesn’t have that ‘sitting still in a parking lot’ feel that Austin or Baton Rouge have.

I hear ya. The hustle and bustle of living downtown is certainly not for me. Live in the burbs in Cypress, TX. Have amazing schools and lots of green space in our subdivision called Bridgeland. The vast majority of my neighbors commute.
You'll be saving money left and right which will allow better quality of life

Depends on where you live along San Felipe. That's a pretty long road. You could be inside the loop or outside.
Assuming you are outside, I don't think there is anyway that this takes 45 minutes. Should be about 30 each way.
I commute from the Heights to Memorial City and the morning is about 15 and the afternoons are about 25.

I have driven through houston dozens of times and this is my exact thought.
Screw br and Austin. Dallas and houston really arent bad traffic wise, all thongs considered

I think the OP means the city of San Felipe, west of Katy, not the street.
