No, because it would have the same problems we have now. What's needed is full legalization.

Nationwide legalization is inevitable. We need to do it before Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi to cash in on our neighbors.

I realize people have reasons why they wouldn't want it sold in their town/parish. That's fine. We have dry parishes now, just set up the same system for weed to appease the NIMBYs.

I don’t really care but I wouldn’t mind being able to go into a shop and getting a little something with no worries. I just mostly want it decriminalized. Too many people in jail for it.

Alcohol is worse in every conceivable way worth caring about, yet it is legal. Why shouldn’t alcohol be illegal?

I wouldn't mind if it were legal nationwide and don't think it should be schedule 1 but I'm not going to march in the streets about it.

Same here, it would sure be nice not to mail stuff to myself whenever I go to a non legal state or worry about my vape pen in my shaving kit when going through airport security.

I had a family member in serious need of cbd 2 years ago but they were too frightened to let me ship them something. He died a pretty miserable slow death that could have been more manageable if not for the govt.

Ideally I'd like it to be a states issue.

It won't be worth anything by the time LA legalizes.

Same here but at the same time I would like it so a new president can't decide....you know, I'm against it and it isn't federally legal and start messing with legal states.

Question. Would it help bring in funds for all the OT posters who aren’t paying for their offspring’s college funds?

If so, go for it. ??

For sure. The only people that would be buying and paying taxes on it at that point would be a portion of our local population plus what ever tourists visit.

If we do it before Texas, at least, just the traffic from Dallas and Houston alone would be a boon.

i watched it become legal where I live. It was an interesting experience. I stopped smoking pot for the most part once it became legal, and I knew a ton of people who started.

Right. I'd like congress (not the executive branch), to reschedule MJ or remove it from the scheduling altogether and get out of the way. Allow the states to decide individually.

this is like asking how bad do you really want gay marriage made legal a few years ago.

Answer being, couldn't care less but don't see why it's illegal.

Well put.

This right here is the correct answer.

I don’t smoke and I want it legal. The war on drugs is a huge embarrassing failure. Lives and tax dollars down the drain. In a supposedly free country.

It definitely should not be illegal at the federal level.

If states want to make it illegal themselves, let them do so.

Although it's still a ridiculous decision to make it illegal. People dont bat an eye at alcohol because they're used to it being illegal.

But when it comes to MJ, which doesn't impair people anymore than alcohol, the old closed minded people gasp at the horror of MJ being legal.

I don’t disagree with you. Both are terrible for you.

But I am not a smoker and I don’t want to smell that shite all the time. Lol

It’s not about health. I could give a shite what your vise is. As long as it does not inconvenience me.

Smokers are already bad enough with cigarettes.
