Situation isn't what you expected and probably isn't what you would have chosen if you had all the facts. However, it is what it is, and you having an attitude isn't going to change it for the better for anybody. Meet your girlfriend's friends graciously. Learn from the incident. Move forward. Your girlfriend and her friends will either appreciate the grace, or will let you know all you need to know about them.

Go cross country skiing or snow shoeing on the weekend…cross country is really fun. You get to see more nature since its generally through the woods and on the little downhill sections its pretty damn funny. Going uphill is funny too, youll laugh at yourself and your GF. We had a ball doing it in Yosemite.

Let me add some cultural context.
It'd be like your boy inviting you over b/c he has an ice chest full of beer. Only to find out after you drive over that you have to bring the beer.
Now just replace beer with $200 lift tickets. And replace driving with flying across the country. Oh, and he's not your boy either.

Too late now, make the best of it and come off the few hundred bucks in weekend lift tickets.
