People are interested in WW2 infantry tactics and this training film clearly demonstrates German Army infantry tactics.
The squad center of gravity was the powerful MG 34 (later the MG 42). All of the other riflemen of the squad were tasked to either carry ammo for the MG, serve as assistant gunner for the MG or to protect the flanks of the MG, because the bolt action Mauser Karabiner 98 simply didn't put out enough lethal firepower to make a good impact on an enemy infantry squad.

Very interesting. I don’t see what people are bitching about in this thread. Pretty sure it’s an American training video made to help understand and identify German tactics in order to defeat them, specifically.

Guaranteed to fail? Not likely, and, I don't think that anybody that was there would agree with you. The BAR was not excellent. The Garand was outstanding and allowed the US infantry to oppose the German infantry with power.
The smart US infantry battalion commander in WW2 would use his infantry to fix the enemy in position and then call down indirect mortar and artillery fire for the win. If your squads were trained to find the enemy MG and suppress it right away with fire, that was the winning tactic. Use smoke if necessary to blind the enemy MG!
