Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo said the drug raid on the home stemmed from numerous complaints from neighbors. He said undercover officers had previously made two purchases of black tar heroin from drug dealers at the house.

The war on drugs is as or more dangerous and damaging to society than the drugs themselves.

Based on everything I've read in this thread, here is another purely speculative possibility....is it possible this guy has younger relatives or friends that he allowed to sell from his house on weekends or something? Neighbors complain because of the in and out traffic, etc. Undercovers make a couple of buys, and then when they raid the place, the real drug dealers aren't there, thus no heroin is there. Prolly not, just speculating.

that's as good a theory as any i've seen at this point with how very little we know other than what has come directly from the HPD Chief.

So they sold their only heroin to an undercover officer, then had no evidence of heroin in their home?

Maybe the sold the rest of it between the time they sold to the undercover and the time the warrant was served.

Also, why weren't they arrested for selling to an undercover officer? Police wanted to wait and make the arrest at their home?

It sounds like they probably sold the heroin out of their home, but they don't arrest them the same day. They generally wait a while so as to not give away the identity of the undercover cop.

I trust nothing that comes from art Acevedo. And I back the police 100%. Just not this fraud of a chief.

Yep.

People are sheep, we didn't learn a damn thing from the Alcohol prohibition but we sure are convinced the war on drugs is a good thing

Just look at the fear mongering around pot legalization. Think of the children! They'll be smoking in droves!

Then the data comes out and it's actually the opposite.

I ain't defending the guy but there is a big difference between shooting at police men in uniform compared to those undercover and you have no clue they are police.

Say the dude is selling drugs and some guys just bust open his door, and they aren't in police uniforms, then why the frick wouldn't the drug dealer think he was getting robbed and not defend himself?

These military style raids get officers killed. Is this the only way to serve a warrant these days?

He never says they knocked. He never says they identified themselves. He never says they were dressed in police gear.

The cartoon shows four guys coming in the front door before anyone answers. It says shots came at them before they fired, and it shows little bursts coming from the opening to a back room, but it says the man came out after the dog was shot. That animation only has me more confused.

You talk about the remaining cops outside as though the guy is supposed to be able to see them, but the animation shows they came to the door after the first four cops were shot.

Do the pictures of the dead people look like pics of low life's? Yes.

Do lots of drug dealers have blood-thirsty pit bulls? Yes.

Did they have some pot? Yes.

I have no idea what happened there, but from what you linked, I can't see how you know any more about it than I do.

Especially when you have corrupt arse cops

quote:

MARTIN COUNTY, FL (WPBF/CNN) - A deputy has been fired after being of accused of putting 11 innocent people behind bars.

The sheriff said the deputy faked multiple drug test results.

One victim, who spent a month behind bars, said firing the deputy is not enough.

Matt Crull said he appreciates something as mundane as making dinner after spending more than a month behind bars for a crime he didn't commit.

"Very surreal when you're sitting in jail with a half a million dollars bond and you can't go anywhere, knowing that you didn't do wrong," he said.

Crull is one of 11 people recently released from the Martin County Jail. The sheriff said they were all falsely arrested by Deputy Steven O’Leary.

The sheriff said O’Leary was somehow faking the results of drug tests.

The female suspect Rhogena Nicholas grew up in Macon, MS. She went to private school at Central Academy and her dad was a dentist.

He never said they didn’t do those things either, yet there are plenty of people assuming this was a no knock warrant. Not to mention, it would be highly unusual to conduct a no knock warrant around 5 p.m.

They found personal weed and that was basically it.

These people also have zero criminal records

Starting to wonder if the police fricked up

Well, yea, that and the fact that they shot 4 of the cops executing the warrant.

I think the entire point is that we don't know if this was the right house, right?

I'm 100% shooting at anyone that is trying to kick in my door. I guess the question would be if he knew they were cops or not.

If they fricked up they are completely lying. The police stated they themselves bought black tar heroin from that house with undercover agents

I mean I guess, but I haven’t read all of his statements or watched the press conference. Don’t you think it would be extremely odd to carry out a no knock warrant in daylight? Kind of defeats the purpose.

Which is weird. What sort of drug dealers are so obvious about it that their neighbors complain, yet the house doesn't have any trace of it?
