I think the entire point is that we don't know if this was the right house, right?
Someone said earlier that undercover cops bought drugs from the house, so it’s not likely that this is a mistaken address.

Which is weird. What sort of drug dealers are so obvious about it that their neighbors complain, yet the house doesn't have any trace of it?
Which do you think is more likely:
1. The cops made the entire thing up because they wanted to execute a search warrant for fun, or
2. The guy sold all his drugs before the warrant was executed.

Wouldn't be the first time they picked the wrong house

Or the cops lied?

I'm not even remotely suggesting this.

Without a single trace? The more believable scenario was presented earlier when someone suggested they were letting someone come in and sell out of the house.

Where was the thread where we make fun of this board for assuming they were black or Hispanic? I haven't been following this story. Oh this is rich.

It's happened before.

I don't understand why the narcs are the first people to enter the house. And then their 54 year old supervisor after them.
If they felt the need to bring 18 officers, it seems like SWAT, in full body armor, would be the first guys in. Let the narcs come in and identify the perps after they been cuffed or shot. Fewer, possibly inexperienced with gun play, officers in the line of fire.

So what are you suggesting?

Why is it believable that there's no trace evidence when they let someone sell out the house but if they were the ones doing the selling then there has to be some trace evidence? I agree that its possible a friend or family member was selling out of their house, but that's still illegal and certainly doesn't make them innocent victims.

3. They acted on bad info.

I know some squads have street interdiction units that usually do this kind of work

Their "info" was drug purchases made from the house by undercover officers, so if the info was bad then the cops were lying.

Maybe I misread the article, but I thought SWAT only arrived after the shooting happened to run their robot through the house to make sure the perps were dead.

So them standing outside, bellowing "POLICE" was not a hint?
Do undercover agents usually yell “police?”

If someone comes in with it, it's likely in a bag and contained to that the entire time. Transactions are made only out of the bag and only during the time that the guy is over there.
If the homeowners are selling, the amount of time the drugs are in the house is likely a lot higher. More possible opportunities that some heroin can be dropped, etc.
Someone using a house to sell occasionally is different than the place being a drug house, if that makes sense.

I've never argued they are innocent or victims. I'm just saying a lot of this story is weird and open to questioning.

A fairly easy scenario for anyone that’s watched cops before, is the undercover agents went to the house to buy drugs for the 2nd time.
They were allowed in for a buy by the wife, and behind them was additional officers likely swat.
For people like TH03, no knock means they kick the door down it doesn’t mean they don’t announce who the hell they are. Again, watch a damn cop show. They kick the door down then scream ‘police’ non stop. Those cops don’t want to be shot either.
But let’s be honest, it’s more likely this was basically like the scene from Training Day when they go to dig the money up from under the guys house. One of the cops didn’t want to play along though.
