I’ll be leaving from Cypress on Friday around noon, is my best bet to take 90 to Beaumont?
How about westbound 10, do I need to avoid that area driving back on Sunday? TIA

Just went through there a few days ago. One side was closed but the other side has 2 lanes in each direction. They moved concrete dividers to separate E and W bound lanes. Came across bridge heading West about 1:45 pm and traffic was around 58-60 mph.

Its 4 lanes down reduced to two lanes. Its not bad and on Friday leaving Cypress at noon will put you in the area around 1pm. You'll be fine.

I live in Cypress and havent any trouble since the closure.

Bridge is open with some of the lanes blocked off (all of the westbound lanes). Drove back on Sunday with maybe 5 minutes of delay.

I do this trip two days a week, live in Baton Rouge, work in Houston. I've done the 90 route, and I-10 route and neither have been miserably terrible since the storm a few weeks ago. You also need to plan your trip to account for Beaumont, Lake Charles, and Baton Rouge traffic if you are delayed leaving at noon or a little after. Lake Charles traffic in the afternoon is almost as bad as Baton Rouge traffic coming from the west.

Wow.. i thought i was hardcore since i used to do that trip twice a month in the Fall, for every LSU game in BR when i lived in Houston.. that trip twice a week could take a toll (pun intended) on one’s sanity, since that stretch of I10 is one of the most boring drives in America... Much respect to you.
