I’ve said for over a year now that Trump could get some younger votes and people on the fence if he passed legalization
Sure, but the people who put him into office with their millions of dollars are firmly against it. Ain't happening.

I know it’s just a baby step, but if this passes think about how stupid it would be to allow this law while keeping pot illegal federally. Just legalize it already.

Wat?
You mean the war on drugs that does nothing to actually curb drugs but seizes billions of dollars in assets for politicians, most from civilians without conviction or criminal trial?
Those morals?

Dude, have you ever been to any place like Colorado / Denver etc etc that has weed stores on every corner? It may be accessible in places it's illegal, but not like that. Certainly you wouldn't argue places like any southern state have a comparable amount of accessibility.

Decriminalization keeps people out of jail but also keeps 100's of shops popping up in each town and making weed super accessible to everyone very easily.I certainly have no problem with people making a ton of money off of it.. I just feel like if you make drugs taxed and legal, then a fair amount more people will be using weed than would be using weed.
Weed isn't a drug that moves society to be more productive. ? I just think the government has no business in telling anyone what they can and cannot put into their bodies.
You think the government has no business telling people what to put into their bodies, yet you think government should keep weed illegal... what kind of logic is that?
And who cares if more people use it? You realize the same can be said about alcohol, chocolate, cakes, bacon, cigarettes...

How is this different than every corner store selling liquor or at least beer/wine?
At least the pot shops are 21 and up.

Today’s vote is a significant victory for the cannabis reform movement and here’s why: for the first time ever, a supermajority of the House voted affirmatively to recognize that the legalization and regulation of marijuana is a superior public policy to prohibition and criminalization.
Reason, can't wait to get their hands on those dollars to put in their pocket.

I live half the year in California (legal) and the rest in Oklahoma (I have a medical card). I have been using marijuana for medicinal purposes and as a way to cut off consumption of alcohol. I just had a gout attack due to alcohol and that was no fun.
I wish they would legalize it everywhere.

Just like, my opinion.. man.
what's your reasoning for this? Tobacco and alcohol are legal and much worse for the body without any positives.
