House Could Vote Today to Let ISPs Sell Your Internet History

This would be a huge violation of our rights and privacy IMO. The congresswoman behind this bill (Blackburn- TN) has taken $693,000 from the industry and is ready to sell your privacy to the highest bidder(s). No one is really talking about this and it's one of the most important votes that will happen in your lifetime.
Louisiana Senators Cassidy and Kennedy have both already supported this effort by voting to sell your internet history to the highest bidder(s). Both need to answer for this. These are the people that are supposed to be representing our best interests in Washington and people need to know that they both voted to sell your internet history for profit.

We should take all the senators and make them battle gladiator style for our entertainment.

I'm all for it but at the moment I'd settle for voting anyone out of office that supports this initiative.

People scream about the NSA spying on Americans but then don't bat an eye when a private organization does the same thing...

Hopefully Trump would veto this bill but I'm not convinced he would.

I e-mailed my local representative last week. I doubt he read it. I also called Graves' office and left a message. The young intern who answered didn't seem to care much. He didn't ask for my name and number, yet said he would call me back. Nice little call screening they have going.

Of course it is, but nobody on Capitol Hill gives a crap.

Unfortunately Republicans control the house and if this vote went anything like the Senate's vote say goodbye to your freedom.

Is there any argument that these "contributions" are anything other than bribes?

People scream and complain about what they are told to scream and complain about.. For the most point.
When you say "the government wants to spy on you" that sounds more of a violation of personal rights than if you tell them "cox communications will have the ability to sell its customers information". It doesn't sound as threatening and people don't pay as much attention to it as they should.

At this point i've basically conceded the fact that Congress people will ruin our lives in my lifetime and force us into a depression.

It's Kennedy and Cassidy from La. The fifty Senators leading the way on this are all Republican. I've emailed both with no response. They're just lining their pockets.
Edited to include a link with the names of the Senators.

I wonder how stupid Congress has to be to pass this shite?
Guess if they pass it, we'll be finding out about what type of fetish porn our senators and reps search Google for.
