I haven’t figured out what to do with these, and the plant is three years old
Fresh cayenne is aboot my limit.

My dumbass cousin made some chili and added some Carolina reaper
Had an order of wings with a Carolina reaper sauce on them.
Lordy Lordy. It was at a restaurant with an open kitchen. I finished them but the cooks got a good laugh out of the last wing or two going down. There may have been some sweat and possibly a single tear.

A fresh off the plant Tabasco is tops for me. I like spicy stuff but holy shite that was miserable.
I felt really bad for my 2yr old when he grabbed one off the plant one day and broke it open into his face before I could snatch it from him. Straight into his eyes. Half of his face was swollen until the next day and he screamed bloody murder for 10 minutes. He rebounded surprisingly quick but I felt so bad about it.

I worked at a wing place in high school and they had a ghost pepper sauce with cayenne sprinkled in that they used for hot wing challenges. I told the cooks to fry just one for me so I could see what it was like. They caked that shite on there because they thought it'd be funny. I ate the whole wing but the heat was so bad I got a rash on the bottom half of my face for the rest of the day. Eyes were watering and I was in physical pain. Felt like fire coming out too.

I cut up a habanero once to cook with - I washed my hands twice afterwards
About an hour later something got in my eye - holy crap - I cut peppers with gloves now

The episode where he ate Carolina Reapers and washed them down with a fifth of Fireball was disgusting and impressive at the same time.

Habanero as far as peppers go. For hot sauce, I’ve had ~2 million ish scoville heating units.

I love peppers and put hot sauce on almost everything. But one I thing I can’t understand is eating a pepper for no other reason than the heat. I like heat, don’t get me wrong. But with that heat I’ve got to have flavor. Bottom like is it’s got to taste good. Once you get to the point where you can’t even really taste anything because your tongue is numb and on fire, what’s the point?

I’ve got a Carolina reaper plant that is loaded with peppers that are just getting ripe.
I’ll probably try one but need to figure out what to do with the rest

Ghost Pepper, miserable experience and I like spicy foods. Watch a YouTuber called "Johnny Scoville", guy must have a cast iron stomach and colon.

I love watching Hot Ones on YouTube. Some people hold up to it well, but some, no so much. Usually a pretty cool interview either way.

I watch Johnny Scoville and some of the competitions he goes to, unreal what these people will stomach. A Ghost Pepper is just a warm up for them.

Standard pepper spray!

I grew Orange/Red Ghost Peppers last year and they were so hot they were basically uneatable so dried them in a air drier and then made powder* out of them in a coffee grinder. I now mix a 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon with basic La Hot Sauce to 'bring life to food"
*please note to air dry and grind them outside!!

I had a plate of Thai curry in Change Mai in the 80's. Thai chili peppers where a large ingredient. The curry raced through my system in 28 minutes and gave a total flush.
I use poblano peppers instead of Bell peppers. The market is about 1/2 price and they have flavor rather than heat.
jalapeno peppers are not hot if you slice away the seeds and white stuff
Above all, avoid all sexual contact if you have touched poblano or hotter peppers 12 hours before. Advice goes for crawfish boil also. your significant other cannot handle it.

Hottest raw pepper was a ghost pepper. My wife got me the fuego box white chocolate bar for Father’s Day. It was hot and I felt it the whole way through my system.

Somebody somewhere makes a pepper spray with a scoville rating of 2?
Posted on 9/30/20 at 9:09 pm to Draconian Sanctions
