He didn't see the attack happening specifically, but everyone who did and tried to get the bear off of her said there were guts all over the place.

Aren't bears notorious for eating their prey alive?

The only Safari I've been on was in Arusha National Park in Tanzania, and I don't believe that there are any lions there. We were in open-air Landrovers.

The one I went on in Kenya we were in some type of open topped vehicle as well. We stood up for most of the safari to be able to see everything. We didn't see any lions either. I think they had a couple at the preserve we went to...but being mid day we likely wouldn't see them(guide told us that).

I'm sure she was trying to get the perfect picture for social media.

Just the latest casualty. . .

Went to Tanzania in 2008 in an open car. Drove right into a pride of sleeping lions that just ate. Our tour guide wasn't worried but I was pretty horrified.

Well, the article goes into graphic detail about her injuries. One part mentioned that the lioness ran away with the tourist's shoulder in her mouth.

So Imma go with mauling.

The park, which remains open, has defended itself, saying that visitors are instructed to keep windows closed at all times, and that the ambulance arrived soon after the attack.
The park said the lion will not be put down.

Well yeah, I don't see why a lion should be put down for being a lion.

She found out that the Lannisters always pay their debts......

But seriously, roll your dang window up that's a fricking wild animal.

Also that Lion Whisperer dude is insane. What he did was become a member of that particular pride and worked with them for years and years. If he came across another pride he would be finished.
