I HATE when babies die!

We have thrown BILLIONS at Cancer in its various forms and yet so many still die. I am sure we all know sad stories just like this one.
We have made progress but not enough. Not nearly enough. Many of you might disagree with me but I think we need to look at how we are attacking the problem, we must do better and not enough progress has been made compared with the money spent.

The bottom line is it is hard to kill cancer cells without killing normal cells. Seems most success is with cancers that can be cut out that haven't spread already.

Very sad!!! She is from Dutchtown and the entire community is torn up over this.
I followed her story on FB for a year now. Her cancer actually went into remission a few months ago and was nearly discharged from St Jude, to come home. I think the night before her discharge, her fever shot up due to liver complications. She never left. She spent the last 14 months of her life in St Jude (that's nearly 10% of her life). I think she was 13 or 14 and would have started Dutchtown High School next year.

I work with her dad. He was excited because he thought she was gonna get to come home, but he rushed out of work Monday to head to Memphis to be with her. Such a sad situation, having a daughter 12 years old, I couldn't fathom what they are going through

Very sad. Her family lives in my neighborhood. Going to make it a special point to donate to St. Jude.

Such a shame. Children should not have to go through that.

I am sorry to hear this, I have kids I can't imagine what the family is going through right now.

My wife and I have been following this child's ordeal. This is very sad. More than sad but it's the only word I can think of right now. She had such hopes to have a normal life. We are devastated. I can't imagine the pain her family is experiencing.

My heart is absolutely broken right now. We donated the proceeds from our Christmas show to her family last year. They are wonderful people.

Update on her cheer team...
Dutchtown Middle School football team had a game this evening. The cheer squad sat in stands the entire game in memory of her.

It's the only organization that I won't hesitate to throw money at. It's a special place that many of us take for granted.

She was an inspiration to our entire community. This is so sad. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers.
