It is a crime but not really one that will get punished if you don’t catch them in the act.
The outgoing police chief, who is running for mayor, has ripped the 19th JDC court to shreds over them arresting people with solid evidence then just letting them back on the street with low / no bail.

Is trespassing on someone’s property with a firearm not a crime? Most likely that firearm isn’t legally registered either.
I was like WTF? I got a little pissed and told the cop next time I call I'll tell them how many body bags to bring. Probably should have kept my mouth shut. But when he wouldn't even take the Bike which is probably stolen I had enough bullshite.

Looks a lot like the one Kiran had an article on. He was arrested a few weeks ago but he could be out by now. If it is him he must have wised up and quit trying to rob people in his own neighborhood.

I see stuff like this on Nextdoor in BR almost weekly.

In Louisiana it's a misdemeanor illegal carry of a weapon and a misdemeanor trespassing at best.

Have your neighbor call and report a stolen bike. Have them describe the bike perfectly.

Have been talking to the wife about this very thing. You can keep moving to a new neighborhood every ten years if you want, but it's just gonna keep on coming your way eventually. The problem is this state. It's a macro level issue, not a micro.
As soon as the last immediate family member is gone and we're retired, we're out of this bitch. It's a sinking ship with a slow leak.

Glad you are safe OP
If you aren't already a gun owner you need to become one.

Are some of you starting to understand why a lot of folks didn't shed a tear when George Floyd died?
Criminals need to be removed from civilization, period.

Why is it that Vermont doesn't have crime like LA?

Indeed. SG being incorporated might have slowed it a little bit but it was still taking on water. With it's failure, the hole just got bigger. Believe me - I know people here who were literally determining their next home purchases on it's passage or failure.

My grandfather bought me a single shot 20 Ga the day after I was born. Been a gun owner all my life along with a CCW holder. I hope I never have to use one in self defense but pitty the fool that tries me.
