“Dogs’ lives are short, too short, but you know that going in. You know the pain is coming, you’re going to lose a dog, and there’s going to be great anguish, so you live fully in the moment with her, never fail to share her joy or delight in her innocence, because you can’t support the illusion that a dog can be your lifelong companion.
There’s such beauty in the hard honesty of that, in accepting and giving love while always aware that it comes with an unbearable price.”

She was my “once in a lifetime dog”
Lost her 2 years ago & while I’ll get another one eventually she will always be the best dog I’ve ever had

My little drinking buddy who came into my life 5 years ago via the GF. She’s 15 and down to 9 teeth. We hope she sees her 16th.

I can't post links for images for some reason. Not sure if admins took away my rights to post pics, but I recently made one of my dogs an AI character on Sora 2. And this is Miles.

Beautiful boy.
You lost him waaaayyyyy too soon. We lost a Chocolate way to early a few years back, so I understand what you're going through.
Grieve and let time heal the wound, then go out and find another pup to share your home.
Prayers sent for comfort and peace.

Nice looking dog
I bought my sons a Lab back in the day. Smartest and easiest to train dog I have ever seen.
They have definitely been bred with a desire to please their Master.

Not to derail the thread and sorry for your loss OP, looks like a good boy, but, wouldn't that make her your niece as well?
Big english bulldog fan btw, I've had two, sadly neither made it to age 10.

Definitely feel your pain. Had to do the same with our 10 year old chocolate lab the week before Christmas. They are such great friends.
