I think Honkus is more of a Ron Livingston.

Praying the next plane isn't delayed and arriving at the airport goes smoothly again, from what we know, the next go around.
This is gripping stuff.

I'd hold off on the movie and book talk for a while. I can imagine the closed door meeting Mrs Honkus had with the local officials went something like, "we are providing you safe passage to the airport, once in the US if any negativity is bought upon China by your actions your relatives might have a unfortunate accident". Given their human rights record I wouldn't put anything past them.

Can we get some cliffs of the honkus situation?
Honkus married an exotic woman from a faraway land. They had a couple of little Honkuses, or Honkettes. They traveled, with their little ones, to the mysterious land of Exotica to spend the holidays with her family.
The perfect storm began. An illness was spreading around. It killed some of the people from Exotica. Nobody knew how serious this illness was. The gubmint of Exotica began showing it's black soul, and lying about this illness.
Honkus wanted to get himself and his family away from Exotica and back to his little state. Every level of the corrupt Black soul wanted to ignore, or deny Honkus. OKhellsbells, from Okie, started a twitter shitstorm and made some prominent journalist take notice. Others began calling old frat brothers and business associates.
Something obviously worked, because the black soul finally stepped up and began negotiations to extract Honkus, Smokeshow, and the Honkettes from Exotica.
Uncle Sugar is going to allow them to get on a plane that is coming back anyway, but extracting $4400 from Honkus' wallet for the privilege of being helped.
Now Honkus' sister Jill, a Bawette from Prairieville, has joined TD and is about to post her obligatory newb pics.

Context clues indicate Mrs. Honkus's family is pretty well connected over there.

I doubt we'd ever heard about any of this and they'd be home in RI right now if they were very "connected", been wrong before though.

Out of all the stupid shite my taxpayer dollars get spent on, I love how we are nickel and diming American citizens before helping them escape a dangerous situation. Oh and then also leaving some of them behind.
Gotta love the government
Agree. This is the type of thing taxpayer funds should be used FOR. Dumbfricks

Yep. Fricker should have know what was up when Haircut told him to "stand on the X and don't move".
He never fell asleep in another meeting, though.
