Never thought I'd say this but the new Rav4 coming out doesn't look too bad.
And Toyota > Honda all day unless we're talking about lawn mowers.

Statistically reliability wise they are in almost a dead heat, with the Toyota just a tiny bit ahead.
Between those two vehicles, it really is a price/features/preferences decision. There is basically no reason to buy one over the other from a reliability point of view.

What years are you looking at?
I think the CRV is a better vehicle than the RAV4.
Honda usually packs a little more technology in their vehicles than Toyota.
Android Auto/ carplay on the '17+ CRV's
Lane watch on the '15+
Etc

We've had Hondas and Toyotas. Both very reliable and will be excellent choices. Just pick out the one that seems to suit you best.
Japanese vehicles >>> European vehicles

I haven’t driven either, but I hate the way my wife's vehicle with the CVT drives compared to my vehicle with a normal transmission. The constant downshifting is annoying and more likely to give you trouble.

I’d get a Edge with the turbo V6

Both are reliable. CRVs are roomier and can take more cargo.

Know anything about the Lexus NX300?. Seems to be a RAV 4. I’ve got a CRV with only 40k miles (2011)and it seems indestructible, but not so much as Toyotas I’ve had.

I have a friend that just crossed 100k miles on her 2013 CRV, drives like a dream. Very reliable vehicle.

The Lexus NX is a hardcore chick crossover. I don't think I've ever seen a dude behind the wheel of one. Otherwise, Car and Driver ranked it 2nd of out 5 in a class comparison a few years back.

Thanks. Certainly saved me from utter disgrace.

I haven’t a clue. I’ll ask my personal assistant’s intern and get back to you.

Is there even a decision?
Toyota > The rest of the automakers
you could have just stopped at Toyota!

I'd go Toyota simply because it doesn't have a CVT. But those are two depressing vehicles to choose from.

Neither. Nissan Rogue is it.
