not really. Honda is really top notch.
Like I posted before, Japanese vehicles are all top notch. Their culture of care for every detail is unsurpassed by anyone else.
Japanese want to make just a fine car. Quality car.
Europeans want to out geek each other, with no regard for the long term reliability.
Americans just want to make anything that will roll off the assembly line and make north of $30/ hour.

Bought 2 new Crv’s one in 2010 & one in 2014, a little noisy inside, but very good vehicles, very low maintenance needed.

I would suggest you look at Subaru Impreza and Sporttrek. Seem like more car for the $$. Yes I know that makes me a lesbian.

While I love Toyota, I has a Camry, it's basically like comparing the Silverado to the Sierra.

That ain't how a CVT works.

and more likely to give you trouble.

They do tend to fail earlier and typically are not repairable and require replacement but Honda probably has the best ones, they have been doing that much longer. Nissan's newer CXTs have been problematic on the Pathfinders.

My wife drives a RAV 4...great little car. Super reliable. I drive a Highlander because I need the space. Toyota > Honda

Mazda, Nissan, and Suzuki are all very average in respect to reliability and durability.

Certainly not on par with Toyota or Honda.

I’ve owned a variety of Honda’s, Acura’s, and Toyota’s over my life, currently drive a Toyota, and I seriously don’t think there’s a hill of beans difference between the two in quality, or reliability. I think both are very well engineered vehicles overall. The difference I see is more in perhaps handling and creature comforts. Honda probably has a slight edge there, but it’s not anything I think is worthy of writing home about. Just drive them both and pick which fits you better. I really don’t think you’re going to make a bad move either way you go.

The difference in reliability between these two is going to be insignificant. I'd go with the CRV if it has Android Auto/Apple Carplay.

Where does Subaru rank on your list. I imagine the Forester or Outback is competition for the RAV4 and the CRV.
