The recent sentencing of Felicity Huffman to 14 days in prison for her role in the college admissions scandal has shed light on other cases of parents who faced longer sentences for less serious offences.

quote:

The sentencing was part of a plea deal McDowell struck with prosecutors after the mother was charged with selling drugs to an undercover police officer on two separate occasions.

quote:

The mother, who was 34 at the time of her sentencing, pleaded guilty to charges of first-degree larceny (a theft involving property or services valued at more than $20,000) and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny for illegally enrolling her son in Norwalk public school despite not living there. The sentencing was part of a plea deal McDowell struck with prosecutors after the mother was charged with selling drugs to an undercover police officer on two separate occasions.

Sounds more like she was given jail time for using a false address in exchange for much longer jail time for selling drugs.

Also Felicity Huffman looks like Bruce Jenner does now.

You always hear about these people getting arrested for selling drugs to undercover police officers but nothing ever happens to the undercover police officers. If anything they should face stiffer penalties. If you ask me a bunch of doped up cops running around with guns is a bigger public threat than a drug dealer.

In a related note, all the “Marcy looks like Bruce Jenner” jokes on Married With Children got that goddamn funnier over time.

It looks like she plead to lesser charges so she wouldn’t be charged with dealing drugs.

We could always reverse the plea deal and charge her with dealing drugs.

Scruffy guesses that you would be all in for that, right?
