I’ve noticed a good number have moved to the lake end of the Canal streetcar line, pushing them more into residential areas.

The new street car transfer station near The Bulldog has become a homeless center.

I was on Coursey Blvd in Baton Rouge yesterday and 3 homeless people approached me within 20 minutes to ask for something
Was Kevin one of them? Pudgy white guy with gray hair, LSU polo shirt and golf pants, claiming to be a pharmaceutical salesman who lost his wallet?

Saw her on my way to weekly pub trivia at Second Line Brewery last week. Did a double-take when I saw the half-arm.
And she did look crazy AF.

That and the parking lot going away effectively killed the Bulldog's business. I'm not sure how that location even stays open

How is it even possible to be homeless in that climate? I'd fricking die in 72 hours.

Homeless problem will not get any better until people stop handing them cash.

You get what you vote for. They all voted for that. Now it just comes to their back yard.

Can’t they run them out of there?
Posted on 8/27/24 at 2:45 pm to CatfishJohn
Of course they do. Just like the ebt crowd. We need to floss this country.

We ought to round them up and put them in a high fence type situation but with a wrinkle. We charge all of the folks who are in on killing them and shipping them hither and yon (if you can ship them to LA LA can ship them to you) to hunt them....but we arm some small % of them! Imagine the hilarity which would ensue when you saw a father of 3 who won the lottery and a chance to kill him some homeless folks messing around and getting his arse blasted by a homeless woman on live TV in front of a national audience. It would be spectacular....it would sell more shite than the NFL and CFB combined. And for the ultimate...if the homless person wins they get everything the decent person owns including their family! That would lead to all manner of hilarious spin offs and interesting entertainment. I know there will be those among of us put out by such an idea....frick those lilly livered pinko commies...this is America by god and we love to watch folks kill or be killed .....and take care of problems in the process. Its a by damn natural win win for eeryone....

fricker doesn't get nearly as much blame for the current ills of the city as he deserves.

Every time I see these threads on the corrupt Nola mayor and the homeless it makes me glad I live in Baton Rouge

Incredible that we do not have better ways to handle these type of people.
Hear me out.
The Plaza Tower. No one else is using it.

lady with one arm
I live in Mid-City and when they were working on our street a couple years ago they had put a Port-O-Let on the corner for the workers to use if needed.
One morning my next door neighbor told me she watched that one armed gal go in there and a few minutes later she came out butt arse naked holding her clothes in her arm ranting and raving about someone messing with her. Only problem was, NOBODY was around that Port-O-Let the entire time.
Glad I missed that since she is one rough looking gal.
