Yes it did. Probably be best just to have the last few pages about this deleted.

Exactly

Think about if your grandparents were murdered. (I don't have to worry because mine are beyond reproach.) Why post it? They're dead. You aren't helping anyone. Just being a gossip

I was trying to contribute and if you want to call it "justify" another reason why the murderer may have killed them. It appears he did so to acquire things from their home. I was stating what could have been also targeted that was in the house.

Delete the last few pages from where I started posting if the admins feel it is not relevant. I think any information pertaining to a case is important even if it is classified information.

If true, I bet it never comes out.

This is a very wealthy family. Although I stated earlier eventually it would come out, I agree with you, second thoughts tell me that it never will. Too many "important" people knew them.

Don't you admit that it seems awfully odd that a older couple with that much wealth would engage in such risky behavior?

Yes I agree with you 100%. But the source(s) are unbelievably credible which is why it makes it so bizarre. I personally know a 70 year old white woman who had the FBI land a helicopter in her backyard and took her and her 45 year old son to jail for very similar situation. She spent 2 1/2 years in jail and he got 10. This couple murdered didn't do it for the money as I think it was more for friends and themselves. That is clearly my own speculation and not the cops or anyone else's.

The only way something like what you allege comes out is if the defense finds out and tries to use it as a mitigating factor in some way. The prosecution doesn't need it. Money is plenty of motive and the guy had that on him. They don't need motive anyway, though juries like it.
My personal opinion. However, I have no idea of your source and if your source is leaking something to the public, shame on him or her.

Again, you are either full of shite and know it or are straight up delusional and off your meds. Go ahead and link to a story on these people you know personally who had the FBI land a helicopter in their back yard. They were prosecuted and it was pretty high profile if the FBI was involved so there will be plenty of news stories on the web. Oh, let me guess. It's classified, covered up and blah, blah, blah so you can't. Prove me wrong.

What's really asinine is you make statements as fact ("didn't do it for the money") and then immediately follow that up with saying it is just speculation. But then a post earlier you carry on about your mysterious source being certain about things. Seriously, you need to stop.

Really?

Poor choice of a phrase.

In before this tragic and now wacky (Black Helicopters being used as domestic arresting vehicles, just imagine if that fictional copter crashed en route and killed folks on the ground what the explanation would have been: "We didn't want to embarrass the 70 year-old perp in front of her neighbors so we killed seven people on the ground crashing a helicopter into a apartment complex. Next question?" Stupid and insulting to us for someone to posit such a thing.) thread is whacked.

But what's the point?

The point is people like my parents and others around town in their 70s or beyond would sleep better at night if this wasn't so 'random' as it seems.

Nobody seems to be tarnishing their reputation. If there are rumors of their dealings in anything illegal, I don't have a problem with it being discussed here as long as it's prefaced with "NOT CONFIRMED". Everything I've heard so far paints the Duplantiers as awesome old folks enjoying their golden years.

I was talking to some established BR oldtimers last night who had some interesting thoughts regarding this couple.

essentially it boiled down to Bubby being pretty shady in his business dealings and was RUMORED to have been involved in drug trafficking at some point in his life.

The wife was a saint.

I don't understand why some in the OT are up in arms regarding the speculation surrounding this couple. There have been numerous threads discussing similar rumors about other murdered individuals.

Thank you Tigeralum2008. All the a-holes who want to know what I already posted and got whacked are whining because they want someone to hand them some hard evidence that is obviously being protected and kept quiet. Glad someone else has knowledge to back up what I mentioned earlier.

Well at this point it's speculation. I doubt if your parents were murdered you would want their reputations tarnished by speculation. If it comes to light then it's open season on them...til then I don't think we should speculate.

FWIW, lots of people have that knowledge. Whether it's true or not is the issue. And to be honest, I don't know that it even matters to this point, because 2 people are murdered.

Unless the DEA gets involved and tries to take everyone else down.
