I love ambling up and down the aisles of an old neighborhood hardware store. The smell of dust, mothballs and machine oil.

Lowes, but has more to do with my usual route proximity.

Home Depot without question.
Lowes is priced high is and is geared toward women and the gimmicks they buy.
Local hardware for most things.

Home Depot seems to have more people working and better customer service by default. Local hardware stores are worth the extra money you’re gonna spend.
In short, Lowe’s/Home Depot for lumber or things you already know you need/want.
Stines, Fontaine Lumber, Port Allen Hardware, Pats, Higjland Hardware , etc if you need help, advice, or helpful advice.

I prefer HD, but Lowes has more discount coupons, so I use them mostly.

Lowes. They have their share of knuckleheads but HD has more and they just don't give a shite what you want or need.

Lowes.
And if Home Depot has a better price, Lowes will match it or do better.

Kobalt sucks, Rigid is pretty good. Everything else is pretty much equal.

used to be Lowe's, but recently, i've noticed much better customer service at Home Depot, and their prices have always been better than Lowe's... Lowe's is proud of their shite, man...

When I lived in Lafayette, Lowes was my place for home repair/improvement items, even though Home Depot was right across the street and easier to get to. HD was hit or miss, although I liked their garden section much better.
In Lake Charles, I find Home Depot better than Lowes, although the customer service isn't as good at HD.
I used to work at Stine's, and I know this... the customer service and return policy there is the best. Their products, however, are priced higher, and are pure crap if you're looking to buy things that last.

Home Depot for price, Lowe's for style...

Arthur Blank owns Home Depot. Real Saints fans shouldn't give him a cent.

Five min drive to Lowe’s or 25-35 min drive to HD. For same service and usually the same price.

In BR the HD on Coursey is goat, airline well it lives up to its surroundings. So in BR this would be my ranking
1-HD coursey
2-Lowes seigan
3-HD highland
4-lowes Millerville
Never-HD airline

HD is for contractors, Lowes is for homeowners

quote:You forgot Lowes at Cortana. Lots of culcha and dindus, but I'd still put it slightly above HD-Airline.
