Depends on the town. When I lived in Athens, the HD was better. In my current town, HD is a shite show and lowes is better.

Home Depot for lumber.

Usually Lowe’s for everything else.

If I absolutely need something then Lowe's, especially if it's a screw or something small

HD has a Walmart vibe - Lowe's is more Target-y

Target isn’t the store it once was. They’re no longer the “upscale” store. 12-15 years ago, they definitely were.

Depends on what I need.

Lowe’s has a better selection of outdoor stuff like pavers and mulch. But Home Depot has a money back guarantee on the plants they sell you.

Most other things, I’ll just price shop. Mine are across the road from each other.

I always preferred lowes and it's closer to my house.

For lumber you need to find a lumber supplier. The big stores get the leftover shite wood.

This is correct for Metairie and Kenner but not for places outside of the New Orleans Area.

As stated before. It depends on the town. I know in the Hammond area as long as you can find what you need on your own, they are comparable. I prefer to go to the local hardware store if the price isn’t ridiculously over priced. I don’t mind paying a little extra so I don’t have to go into either one of them
