Spin off.
How about when you open the door for a group of wemmen entering an eatery, lets say Jersey Mike's. Then that entire group gets in line in front of you knowing they all have like 3 orders each, ya know, because Sara, Janet, Ellie, Barb, The new girl, and Jess back at the office want something too.

At that point is it OK to call them all an inconsiderate gaggle?

I used to be a "YOU'RE WELCOME" guy.

Then I realized I was a moron for thinking random strangers needed to say thank you to me for doing something they didn't ask me to do.

I may be guilty of that but I always tell them, no rush, take your time. Never hurts to be nice to someone.

If she's hot I let her go by, stare at the arse and say "Very nice" loudly.
If she's not not I say, "you're welcome.....good talk"

If someone doesn't hold the door for me, I loudly thank them.

I would consider a smile and nod from her a thank you. I’m talking nothing verbal or gestured.
Not recognizing it in any way is a low key degenerate move. As Kramer said “good manners are the glue of society.”

I don't get why you're pissed she didn't say thank you.

The only time I would expect to be thanked and pissed if I didn't get it is if I went way out my way to do something for somebody.

Holding the door open is not one of those things.

If you doing it for the "Thank You", you're doing it for the wrong reason.

Always say "you're welcome" and if the stare follows that I end it with a "classy bitch"

Ive only said "you're welcome" once and it was because she totally ignored the gesture, just looked right through me as if the door was automatic, and you could tell she was a self-absorbed bitch.

You don't have to say anything but you need to at least acknowledge in some way.

A smile and nod is just fine, its not a very difficult thing to do.

Because a thank you is so strenuous and demeaning. After 1 or 2 thank yous, I am worn out for the day. I personally just hold the door so I can force people into saying thank you. It makes me superior.

You hold the door open because that’s the polite thing to do, not to elicit a response.
