Below 1 is all that matters.

The “shedding” hypothesis is somewhat interesting considering we just started a max vaccination program of a large previously unvaccinated group (5-11yr olds)

I get that. Just saying it’s something to keep an eye on.

Maybe just being hopeful but the slope of this rise is way flatter than the previous rises.

It's likely data errors from those blue parishes on the map. Yesterday's positivity for the state was still 1.30% (extremely low).

Alabama actually had their Rt go up to 1.3 last week but it's already been readjusted back below 1.

Even the people on the site say it's best to look at the Rt value 2 weeks back because the current value is not reliable.

the why is easy. if indicators start to go back up we'll be back in masks. he's already said so.

We will be back to mask mandate by December. It’s never going away.

and we reported to older cases in the last few weeks. If those were factored in with the numbers, that could screw things up.

If you look at Avoyelles and Plaquemines parish (the two blue coded parishes) Rt the indicator is already saying they have crested. Like i said earlier you can't really go off current Rt but if that graph is correct they will be heading right back down soon.
