Have any of you bought a luxbicycles bike @$99?
Tempted. Theres a mile long thread the owner/builder is responding to.
Anyone have one?
FWIW. Recharges from the wall. They make them after you order.
Maybe this price is temporary.
What did you pay?
Seems like a lot of metal and technology and human time for $99.

I have no idea but the last time I rode a quality electric bicycle in Doolin, Ireland it was freakin awesome. Man, I could get used to that . If I lived in a good cycling city , I’d buy one.

Electra makes a bad arse electric bike. Thing has a Bosch electrical system in it. They sell them at Capital Cyclery but it ain't 99 bucks.

The bike is made in China. Doubt the builder is in the thread.
They have a number of models. Aliexpress has a model like it listed for 900.
Buy 2. I will buy the other at 200. Your bike is free. ;)

I would be leery. There is a well known electric bike company in cali called E-lux bicycles. It seems like Lux Bicycles may be mimicking their name to confuse people. And $99 for a folding bike, much less and electric one, is impossible.

It’s a rich bit bicycle shown in the picture, prices for those bikes are a lot more elsewhere so it seems like it would be a scam of sorts.

I ordered 1. My wife also found a 10% coupon through Honey that applied on the purchase as well. So we only paid $90.
The website is rated as safe from Google's extension that tells you if website is safe to make purchases on.
We also bought it with a credit card that has protection from scams of this sort. So we can get our money back if it isn't legit.

There was a guy who used to build gas powered ones on the corner of ponderosa and Florida for years. Not sure if still does. If it’s comparable performance that’s a good price for a battery powered one
