That’s in violation of Section 7.2 paragraph 13 that reads “a fence is not to be extended past the edge of the main structure excluding the garage.”

Remove the fence within 48 hours or you will receive another violation notice.

HOAs are pointless and the people who grant them so much power are cucks.

They aren't pointless, but too many people take that shite way too seriously.

Having your trash cans visible from the street (on non-trash days) is trashy whether you’re in an HOA or not.

When you live in tight neigjborhoods in Louisiana, you understand the importance of HOAs. People are trashy as frick here. So many people here think it is ok for them to do what they want and everyone else should follow the rules.

Their 4 wheeler trailer, RV and boat are never trashy and always only temporarily parked there. Always.

They only forgot their trash cans by the street for a month because they were out of town and forgot.

There is a reason HOAs are so popular in Louisiana. No one wants to admit it but we have some top notch trash here.

If you did that in my neighborhood, a neighborhood watch peace officer with a sawzall would be out there within minutes

Ours stay in the garage until trash day. Sometimes I deploy them late the night before (12 or 1 am) since they have been known to show up early (4 or 5am) the next morning.

Speaking of which, no one in our HOA has done a damned thing about a guy down the street that has an upstart portapotty business and keeps his units in his front yard. I guess he has no back yard.

I do agree, but I wish we had a better solution at my house than keeping it in the garage. I threw away some chicken that didn’t smell right. Two days later, the horrible garbage smell from the garage was starting to permeate the house. And trash pickup was still 4 days away. BF triple bagged it & took it to a dumpster.

What do people with once a week pickup and trash cans in the garage do with food waste? Freeze it til trash day?

he just needed that middle board to be higher to mount a hook on it to hold the can's lid open, when needed.

I am currently at odds with my HOA. The board of directors, along with the clique of committee members are selectively enforcing rules against a few of my neighbors while not adhering to these same rules. So, I chose to troll the whole lot with one $4 yard sign. “Yard of the Month”. We do not have a YOM thing in here. The look on their face is priceless when they ride by on their golf carts.

Because a garbage can is so much less attractive than 3 condenser units out of plumb on cement pads and a large satellite dish attached to the house next door right next to the units.

Absolutely! But the problem is that all they can do is send letters and fine the shite out of trashy neighbor. And really, the only way they can enforce anything is with a lien. That only hits the offender upon sale of the house.

Most people are good and follow the rules. But there’s always that one piece of shite that doesn’t care about anyone else.

To your point, I think there would be many more than the one - if there was no HOA.

Of course you freeze things that are going to stink. First thing I learned when I moved to Houston and had once a week pickup. Only in the French Quarter with daily pickup could we get away with cooking and quick pickup.

And you will learn not to have shrimp boils more than one day before pickup.

About bad meat: dogs will eat anything. Our dog dragged home what was left of a deer carcass. (Fortunately we have many acres of fields around our house.) Dog stored the carcass in high grass several hundred feet from the house and would drags bits of it onto the yard, roll around on it and then eat what was left.. She was an outdoor dog. We shared her with our only next door neighbor. Really wish the buzzards had gotten to that carcass first.

Luckily I live on a bayou so I’m able to throw seafood/meat scraps there. Only thing I can think of is to keep that stuff refrigerated until trash day. You’re definitely right...2 days in this heat and that stuff will really start to stink.
