Germany didn't have any immediate, explicit plans for confronting the US, Japan, or anyone outside of Eurasia. But Nazi philosophy envisioned a multigenerational campaign of world conquest. Whether that would mean boots on the ground or simply other nations acknowledging and deferring to Germany's preeminence hadnt been hashed out yet. At any rate there would eventually have to be a reckoning of some kind.

Honestly no.
I barely learned much about WWII in school (besides what I learned About the Holocaust in Hebrew School)
I just red about it and watched documentaries.

That's my point. Most American adults today learned about WWII from popular media, not in school.

It is interesting to wonder (just focusing on the soviets here) what would have happened if Hitler had went along with the wishes of almost all of his generals and kept pushing to Moscow after they captured Smolensk. The Nazi pincer had trouble closing at Smolensk and allowed something like 300,000 Soviets to escape and stand in the gap to Moscow. This made Hitler furious so he changed his plan to try and beat the soviets by economic means.
He split Army Group Center and sent some north to Leningrad and some south to the caucuses and the oil fields. The Soviet resistance had been tougher than expected, but I do think that had they kept pushing straight to Moscow, it MIGHT have just broken the Soviets considering all they had lost up until that point. It certainly would've had a significant psychological effect of the people and certainly the military.

Russians eventually takes over Europe.
Japanese own China , flip India , Invade Hawaii . Not sure if the Japanese had man power to invade and hold Australia or western US.

The Soviets would have defeated Germany by 1948 or 1949 without the Western Front. Britain and the Russians would have starved without U.S. intervention before then, though.

Russia actually had 80% of the German war machine directed towards them. Not sure of the details but as I understand it the west was heavily involved with various supplies supporting Russia.

It is. Most adult Americans today "learned" about WWII from recent popular media (to the extent they know anything about it at all). And the vast majority of recent polular media about WWII was inspired by the interest in Brokaw's book.
OP literally said that he only got interested after watching Band of Brothers.

I would Say most Americans have not read that book.
And there are a MILLION other sources to learn from not based on that book.
And it came in 1998. People knew about WWII before then.

Americans were against WWII until Pearl Harbor. Even then it was a hard sell in the heartland.
