The release of this could have at least waited for that out of respect for the families

Don't put that on Hillar. They have been under a lot of pressure from the media to release the report. Better to do it and explain things than to prompt a FOIA lawsuit and have the media running amok with the raw data and making their own conclusions.

I couldn't see any of the comments on Facebook. I guess that's a good thing.

It's like he just lucked up on a bonanza of police officers and, before he died, he knew he'd taken some out which makes me even madder. God bless those officers and their families. That guy is on fire in hell forever.

I put it squarely on him.

Can you provide a link to all the pressure he was under from the media to release this? There were no pressing questions that needed to be answered or questions on if this was a justified officer involved shooting.

And I never said not to release it. I said it could have wanted another few weeks out of respect to those officers' families.

So because of the D.A, now the families have to be subjected to this and all the media coverage that comes with releasing this info...and then, in 17 days, the families have to go through the anniversary of their deaths, along with the media coverage that comes with that.

Hillar could have wanted 17 more fricking days to release this and shield the widows and their children from an extra round of media exposure and additional grieving.

You're disregarding the preemptive effect of it.

More likely, the media having shot their wad now, it will be less sensational in another 2 weeks and more a time of sincere remembrance.

For the sake of the families, I hope that is the case. But I have zero faith in the media.

Not possible. This is a made up title given to that Officer by the DA's office.

The videos are just gut wrenching to watch and to listen to. I'm so sorry for the families having to go through this again. I'm hoping and praying they're at peace right now. I'm so sorry.

The shooter is an incredibly narcissistic and stupid piece of shite thinking murdering police officers was going to "change the system". No, you stupid frick, it's just going to further marginalize and delegitimize pieces of shite like you.

Why would you think that would be a good idea?

I watched WAFB's coverage of the story and I was very upset that they aired this guy's last letter. The guy shouldn't get a platform to spew hate like that. WAFB's telecast was out of line.

Not only was he one giant thug piece of shite murderer, the shooter also had chicken shite handwriting that was hard to read most of the time and took quite an effort to do so.

Typical for a short bus riding mental midget like him.

If it makes you feel better these police attacks actually make it worst for people like me.

It never gets covered Sentrius but there are a lot of black people who generally obey the law and try to do the right thing in life, but get marginalized for very minor incidents due to idiots like this trying to prove a false point.

I wish the families the best, as this is a difficult time for them.

So after reading the report and watching the play by play, I find that the SRT dudes handled business to the 10th degree. Totally took the fight to long and out of him. Kudos Boys!

I wish the families of the Officers would sue Alton Sterling's family for him starting all this shite. They're going to get paid by SWB and they already got 700k from Go Fund Me.
