Apparently Yahoo's writers mistakenly identified it as "poisonous".

And LDWF expects us to know a mottled duck from a hen mallard from a blind before sunrise while in flight.

I watched my buddy get chased in Cairns by an Australian pelican with a bad attitude.

Yeah the Koalas and the wombats are real dangerous.
You ever seen a wet Koala? It’s absolutely terrifying. Google it.

A cousin of mine from there says even the birds there are aggressive and will go for your eyes. Let alone all the venomous shite everywhere.
The standard contrast of fauna between Australia & New Zealand goes:

Everything in New Zealand wants to hug you.
Everything in Australia wants to kill you.

New Zealand had some badass megafauna until humans got busy on their asses.

The venom of the broad-headed snake also contains a powerful coagulant. A bite to humans produces severe symptoms but is usually not fatal. The broad-headed snake is one of three species in the genus Hoplocephalus. They are the only Australian elapids that dwell in trees and rock formations.

same here, inquiring minds and all, and WTF would anyone bring home a snake??

I caught a snake in my front yard in Utah about a month ago. It was their version of a garter snake but unlike our garter snakes it shite all over me. It was like our water snake but not as aggressive.

Anyway, I brought it inside to show the grandkids.

I almost always try to catch snakes when I see them, as long as they’re not venomous.
