It's always the rivers that matter and what happens up north of BR. Comite and Amite levels -> backwater flooding.

We're not sitting under 2016 rainfall rates, where it hasn't stopped for two days now. Insterests close to local waterways though, should be prepared to move.

That’s what I figured just it’d good to hear someone else say it haha... as long as the river isn’t cresting over 42 feet or so I don’t think I have anything to worry about... I don’t see the forecast going up 10 full feet

I got 3' in 2016, so I get the feeling.

I know why it shouldn't be an issue for me intellectually, but it hasn't stopped me from refreshing river stages every few minutes.

I wasn’t living in the same house in 2016, but it’s certainly flooded the most (by far) since that time.

Highest rainfall in a storm in a few years isn’t terrifying but it’s probably of noteworthy risk

There are houses in Magnolia Woods about to flood because dpw won't go clear the ditch by Sammy's at Highland. It is like 25 feet deep on the North side of the road and empty on the south side of the road.

As long as they don’t start talking bout the river creeping up over 40ft I don’t have a reason to worry

I am at MSY reporting METAR observations. Only .27 inches total for the day. Yesterday had 0.51 inch.

Question for the weather gurus....

Looking at radar what’s left to come doesn’t look to bad... did what the expect kinda fizzle out or is additional pop up storms expected?

Just look at the gauges on water.weather.gov They haven’t revised the expected crests at all and they’re all tracking pretty close to what they’d estimated days ago.
