New Orleans is dead to me.
It used to be my first choice for a wknd getaway due to its proximity, atmosphere, and abundance of things to do. Now, I have no plans to ever visit NOLA again.

It's not a case of being afraid but instead the very real possibility that I will be put in a position of having to use deadly force to protect myself or my family, then being prosecuted for it.

What was "cuter looter" and 10 other bystanders doing during the entire ordeal?

I would assume they were not being attacked by NOLA degenerates.

Why didn't any of the bystanders stop the rape?

Definitely all very true. I used to make the same trips also. I go to Hackberry fishing now.

Cause the rapist may have a herpes dipped pocket knife. Calling the police is the right course of action.

Because most depend on cops.

10 bystanders and none of them did a damn thing except watch a girl get raped and one person did the best she could to get police to respond?

No way I'm going to stand by watching this. I will engage in some way to stop the rape.

you're right. being verbally told "stop" usually stops rapists

Holy frick.

Are you under some kind of delusion that 99.9% of criminals don't flee once they are spotted and can expect the police any second?

This place is crazy.

Did they?

This story could be fake.

However, I don’t necessarily consider a bystander to be a witness. They could have walked up on the scene as it ended. They are still “bystanders,” just not witnesses.

The other two ran for the police (supposedly).

I wish there were more details concerning how things actually played out.

It’s New Orleans. Perhaps the “any second” part of your post doesn’t apply.

Just sayin.

And then possibly be prosecuted for using force. Stay out of New Orleans. Period.

I'm not real sure a guy allegedly raping someone in broad daylight (moon light) with obvious bystanders around is real concerned with your plea to stop, but go off king

We need to get George Bush to blow up the levee system again and allow New Orleans to die permanently.

When you come upon a situation you don't have time to think about that. You jump into action and engage.

It doesn't matter where it may be.

Have not heard the audio. Only info I have is from the OP.

Of all the people witnessing this event. There must be multiple videos available. Those videos have likely either been offered to NOPD or have been posted somewhere.

There is the possibility this act was, at least initially, consensual. *this is based upon limited information, and the apparent non cooperation of the "victim".

As far as the Narcan statement, if the woman was breathing and conscious, Narcan would not be necessary, I don't believe.
