Well the R in RICO is for racketeering, I don't know if these are federal charges or not because I haven't read the whole article. If the Feds aren't involved there will be no RICO

Yeah, that's what I was alluding to. I'd imagine that Jack Strain was trying to make a big example of these fellows, so announcing heroin when most arrests weren't for heroin was a pre-planned thing

Yeah possibly but as someone said earlier this is the result of a long time investigation and there is no telling what they bought, saw, set up etc within it. CDS can be any controlled substance just because they didn't call it out doesn't mean they don't have it in evidence somewhere.

Yea I promise they will have plenty of evidence to charge these people. I know 8 of them and they all sell and do copious amounts of hardcore drugs. Very sad, not sure where they went wrong.

Probably, maybe, who knows? I suppose the point that I am really making is that this seems a bit theatrical of a press release to provide such little information
The main thing I find concerning is calling these guys out as users, however none of the charges are related to use. I mean what relevance does that have to the actual case? It seems like a pretty clear tactic to steer public opinion.
