This is the problem.

It is not that its more readily available. Its that it has become more acceptable to do, especially among the cleaner cut crowds around lsu. Thats why the public is hearing about it more. Instead of taking an oxy or vicodin, guys i know are getting into heroin because its cheaper and "everyone is doing it".

Single handedly ruined a couple of my friends.

If I see anyone doing herion, no matter how clean cut they are, I make sure they know they're gutter trash

As soon as the Feds started cracking down in Rx painkillers, H exploded on the streets. It's prevalent everywhere pretty much now.

Maybe they should make this stuff illegal? Put up drug free zone signs on campus? We need laws making this stuff hard to buy.....

Anything and everything (except PCP, never knew anyone with PCP and crack was for poors, so you didn't see that either) was and is available at LSU and I would assume pretty much all colleges.

Same thing here in Alabama. Couple of kids have overdosed the past few years that were from nice Birmingham suburbs. You're hearing about it a lot more now because a white college aged kid from the suburbs ODing on heroin is much bigger news than somebody in the projects, which generally isn't even in the news.
