Here's why the OT gets so many women, its cause we're 'benevolent sexists'

In a study women preferred men who were chivalrous or protective
Those men were rated more attractive then those who treated women as equals
Scientists say it may be hard-wired to prefer a mate who is willing to provide
Even staunch feminists showed the same pattern of attraction
quote:
'Women find benevolent sexist [BS] men attractive, not because they are ignorant of the harmful effects, but despite being aware of them.
'This suggests that the desirable aspects of BS attitudes and behaviors are sufficient to overcome the perceived negative effects.
'Our proposal is that women approve of BS attitudes and behaviors because they are taken as cues that a man is willing to invest by being protective, providing, and committed.'
quote:.
In the study, women's attraction to this willingness to invest is traced to a more basic hard-wired survival instinct, in which females choose mates in order to improve their children's chance of survival.
A male who is more likely to be protective or provide food for the family would improve the chance of offspring surviving, the study explains.
This may have in turn shaped women's psychology to make them subconsciously prefer men who are a bit sexist

You mean, women would rather be treated like they’re special than as if they’re our mere equal? No fricking way!

sounds like it was written by an embittered fat woman that nobody wants that is resentful of the realities of this world

I love it when money is spent on a sociological study that confirms basic human nature that has been understood for as long as we have existed.

Yep, who'd have thunk it?
It has nothing to do with thinking he's going to be a provider. It feels good to be appreciated in any area of life.

Human nature is demeaning!

I respectfully disagree. Displaying "benevolent sexism" (lol at that term) while being unable to provide either materially or sexually will make a woman drier than the Sahara.

Women want to be fed the bullshite flattering stuff and they want to have fun. Money trumps everything. Money is fun and flattering.

They may say they want a passive man, but every woman i’ve Experienced prefers a man to be a bit more aggressive, especially behind closed doors.

No matter how big a feminist they seem to be, they want a partner who can provide materially and give them a sense of security.

I've never known a woman to say they want a passive man. Sensitive, maybe. And that's true. You can't be spergy Billy Badass all the time; showing vulnerability from time to time is good. But it has to be a lot less than the assertive and aloof behavior.

Benevolent: I’m a nice guy
Sexist: I’m gonna guess 98% chance that you have a vagina.
The second part makes me sexist, right?

I’ll go one further...
When a lesbian couple moves, do they move the sleeper sofa out to the truck themselves or do they hire a crew of women to move that sleeper sofa and get that armoire down the stairs?

Perhaps passive is the wrong word. But plenty of these liberal woman complain about “toxic masculinity”, and i’ve Seen these wimpy guys agree with them and believe all the progressive talking points designed to emasculate them.
Hell at one point I believed some of them too and thought you could use niceness to attract them.
But I learned what attracts women most of all, outside of looks, is dominance. Being in control of your situation and surroundings. When you can walk into a situation and seize the room, make stuff happen...the little slapdicks who have been intently listening and nodding their heads all night will be befuddled as you completely steal their girl.

I disagree. If you can’t protect or provide, then you can’t bring them the sense of security that will attract them.
Just being a nice guy and making them feel appreciated does not cut it.
