What’s a joke. More money for the shyster crooks to run TV commercials and buy billboards.

Sucks for businesses that aren’t employee heavy but deliver great value.

Employees are not required to receive a PPP loan. Self employment income is eligible as well.

Didn’t apply for it, didn’t need it, saw folks in the same business who were on the list.

God bless them.

If they paid into the system, it’s time to collect.

I’m sure Gordon needed that PPP loan because less cars on the road meant less minor fender benders to file frivolous bodily injury claims over

So nice that 1st Lake gets some PPP help while mom and pop landlords get shafted when their tenants can’t / won’t pay and the state says they can’t be evicted either

I don’t see why anyone that was capable of getting the money , should not have taken the money. If the government is dumb enough to shut businesses down over a virus that hardly kills people under 75, then frick em.

Private schools that didn't refund tuition should be ashamed for taking money.

Agreed. Imagine working for 50+ years and each pay check the government takes a percentage for social security. Then you retire and since you saved responsibility, you don’t get to collect a SS check.

My daughter's had remote class and still paid all of the staff

They did refund us our unused lunch plan money though.

Otherwise I didn't have a big problem with it.

As said, most private schools continued education through distance learning and not on a voluntary basis like public schools did. Teachers still had to be paid. Where they got the hit wasn’t on paying teachers, it was on some parents saying “frick it”, and they quit paying tuition because the schools wouldn’t stay open. Private schools actually made the choice to close.

They also took a hit on any extended care, athletic, or fundraising line items that were expected from March until the end of June.

I didn’t have a problem with private schools keeping money because the pandemic was the last thing anyone expected. Now if school shuts down again there better be some money coming back.

as someone who is on that list, i can tell you this experience has told me how corrupt the government actually is.
every time one of those "bills" pass i looked the other way, not my business. but now i know all those companies receiving governments funds just have executives pocketing all the money.
fricking scam artists.

My employer is on the list, and I, for one, am glad that were no lay offs or pay cuts.
