Gen X doesn't care, man.

It's sort of our thing.

And, 44-64 boomers gave birth to boomers? What a stupid idea.

Huge difference in someone whose early childhood involved listening to the Andrews Sisters on the Radio in the late 40's and early 50's...to those whose early childhood involved listening to The Rolling Stones and CCR.

I remember reading an article that there is a sub generation in between Gen X and Millennial (1980-1985).

quote:

Anna Garvey has described these individuals as having "both a healthy portion of Gen X grunge cynicism, and a dash of the unbridled optimism of Millennials"

Millenials and gen Y are the same. "Gen Y" as a term fell out of favor.

I recall there being a fairly distinct Gen Y that covered basically those born in the 80s.

Our family doesn't fit any of this shite apart from the fact that I'm prototypical Gen X. My maternal grandfather was born at the turn of the century, and I have a one-year old (and God willing another born in 2020).

Yeah, that's now referred to as the millenials. Same thing.

So what are those born between 1990 and 1995 or so? They are worlds apart from my younger siblings born between 1979 and 1985.

I think it’s hilarious how no one wants to be associated with the. millennial or baby’s boomer generation :

Especially since the boomers birthed those sons of bitches

Generations are just one more way that left wing sociologists attempt to put people in a nice little box.

There are a lot of studies to what you said is true.

Boomers really did suck as parents and Gen X was forged on children raising themselves in several ways.

Boomers were very inward looking and about themselves, which was a direct result of their parents (Depression Generation) being very strict.

Many Gen X helped create the worthlessness of Gen Y though, with becoming helicopter/participation trophy parents.

Boomers and Gen Y are essentially the same. Gen X and Gen Z are here to save the country and advance civilization.

Unbridled optimism? Their religion is pessimism and angst.

But I agree 1980-1985 or so should either be Gen X or something different. You can't compare kids who went through significant portions of adolescence without the internet to people who never knew life before it.

And think your question is too dumb to warrant a serious response.

How's that for a start?

Exactly. No one born in the 80's for sure, and i'll even say the 90's is a "Millennial". That graphic is horseshite.

Like the guy said above, "Millennial" is more of a state of mind than an age.

This is asinine. You're a millennial no matter how hard you try to identify otherwise.
