Louisiana transportation officials have identified 10 potential sites for a new Mississippi River Bridge in Baton Rouge. The sites range from one five miles south of the existing Mississippi River bridge in Port Allen to one five miles north of the Sunshine Bridge in Donaldsonville. Seven of the bridge sites are Iberville Parish, two would connect East and West Baton Rouge Parishes and one would be in Ascension Parish. Leaders hope to trim the list down to three options by May.

Hopefully one will be built by the time my great great grandchild is born

They should do years of studies and spend millions of dollars filtered to politician’s families.

Just build them all at this point and we'll let the unused ones fall into the river.

They should poll kindergarten classes to see what they prefer.. Since they will be the ones around when it is finally available.

LA. 30 to Bluebonnet...but I would prefer a little further south

Give me the Addis option for getting out of BR after football games.

OMFG just build one. Literally anything north of White Castle.
I don't care which. Just build the damn thing.

Any of the northernmost 6 options will do. Stop dicking around and pick a crossing, then build it.

I'm 28 and I may not be allowed to drive by the time this thing is done.

Didn’t we do this 15 years ago?

How about we build a new LC bridge that was built 100 years ago first, hmm k?

Wasn’t there only six just last week?

We will have invented teleportation by the time this bridge is built.

South of Plaquemine should be a non-starter. Whoever came up with the idea for a bridge south of White Castle should be executed. That would serve no purpose so close to the Sunshine Bridge.

I'm having a hard time figuring out where all of the traffic would go from there other than 30. Bluebonnet is a cluster already.

I would think anything south of Addis is a waste and will do very little to divert traffic from the existing interstate. Which I thought was kind of the point of another bridge.
Or are we just trying to get the plant traffic to go another route?

Why are any of the options south of Plaquemine being considered.

A bridge to bluebonnet would be retarded
They’re not going to turn bluebonnet into an expressway. The bridge needs to be an expressway to I-10 in Gonzales.
Connect it to LA 30 in Saint Gabriel and run in down to Gonzales.
