Why? It's a waste of resources and causes logistical issues for no other reason than "feelings".
And Tulane Ave holds Tulane Medical Center and Tulane School of Medicine, 2 of the largest entities in the city. I would say it surely represents the current people and culture of the city. But we all know it's really not about that.

They take names away from streets and locations because the people associated with them are considered to be imperfect.
Are these new suggestions because these are perfect people?
