Irish Spring is neutral. I’ve never thought of it as a men’s only soap. It’s just cheap, like Zest.

1983 Irish Spring commercial

The young lady in this ad is from Baton Rouge. I went to junior high with her.

I'd lose my boner if a broad I was with smelled like Irish Spring. Would trigger an olfactory "that's a man" reaction.

Dial. After googling I've now learned it's referred to as 'gold', not orange.

Thanks for this laugh while I’m working today.

I use Irish Spring (blue); wouldn’t mind a girl using it. Actually tried to get my ex to just share mine when we lived together but she wasn’t having it.

I think it was originally marketed to men but they wanted to make it clear that women could use it as well. Hence the commercial tagline, "Manly, yes. But I like it, too!"

Well....

They have Dove for Men.

Sorry, I'm not going for it.

Irish Spring is most certainly for men only.

Warning: Stay away, women.

From my experience it's made for grandmas.

It's not as manly as Dove but it'll do in a pinch.

I like and regularly buy Irish Spring. Smells ok and doesn’t dry out my old hide.

My gripe is that they have added a more water to the original formula and a bar of it melts in no time. Also, they “streamlined” the bar, aka less product, for same price.

It’s cheap enough so I still buy it. Just a pain to have to keep getting a new bar out of the drawer after you’re already in the shower.

Amazing, I’ll bitch about anything when given the chance.

Is any mass marketed cheap bar soap even geared towards a specific gender?

I don’t even know I don’t think I’ve used bar soap without being at a hotel in a few decades. Just seems like it’s purpose is to be unisex for brands

I use whatever Mrs. Lugnut buys. With that said it’s always Irish Spring. She loves it.

I don't remember the last time I saw an Irish Spring commercial.

Was oddly satisfying when theyd pull out a knife and cut into the soap bar
